The short answer
Write the sequence as a small explanation, give each slide one job and set its duration from the actual text. Keep a stable visual system while changing the evidence. Review the transition and the final frame on a phone. Prolifik’s Image Carousel format creates a short-form video treatment; do not assume it produces every platform’s native swipe-post format.
Give every slide a reason to exist
Use as many slides as the explanation needs, then remove repeats.
Opening
Name the subject and the useful outcome without an exaggerated promise.
Explanation
Build the idea in an order the viewer can follow.
Evidence
Show the example or source that makes the point concrete.
Next action
Offer a relevant step after the explanation is complete.
Choose video or swipe interaction first
The viewer’s control over pacing changes the design.
A native carousel lets a reader move between items. A timed video advances on its own. A design that works when the reader can pause indefinitely may contain too much text for a video. Confirm the intended post type and publishing route before setting dimensions or planning an export.
For a fictional plant-care brand, a timed sequence might explain how to check a seedling’s soil. The opening names the problem, the next frame shows the check, and the final frame explains the next action. These are illustrative editorial examples, not a claim that a particular brand achieved a result with this sequence.
Write the sequence before finding images
A strong illustration should clarify a point already worth making.
Draft one sentence for each slide and read the sentences in order without the artwork. If the sequence jumps from a problem to an unrelated offer, fix the explanation. If two slides repeat the same claim, combine them. Use a concrete example before adding another broad benefit.
The Image Carousel format gives the idea a consistent visual treatment. Keep the actual product, offer and source facts with the brief. Generated images should not invent packaging, an accessory or a before-and-after result that the source does not support.
Make a reading-time worksheet
The actual message determines how long a slide needs.
For each frame, record its sentence, visual task and proposed duration. Read the sentence at a comfortable pace and leave time to inspect the image. Preview the sequence without pausing. Lengthen a difficult frame, shorten the sentence or split the explanation when the reading and viewing jobs compete.
Do not use a universal number of seconds for every slide. A short label over a simple image needs a different interval from a detailed process frame. The goal is a completed explanation, not a target slide count. A timing worksheet makes those decisions visible to the next editor.
Keep continuity without repeating every composition
Consistency can come from a small set of deliberate rules.
Hold typography, palette and the location of key text steady. Vary the image or example when the slide’s job changes. Check whether a transition moves a sentence before the viewer has finished it. Decorative motion should not make the reading order harder to follow.
Preview the last frame beside the first. It should resolve the subject rather than introduce another unexplained idea. Use the safe-zone guide to review placement, then inspect the exact file under the destination player’s interface. A clean desktop preview does not establish small-screen readability.
Review the export and its destination separately
A good file can still be published as the wrong post type.
Watch the complete video on a phone with sound off, then with its actual audio. Inspect glyphs, line breaks, image crop and the interval before the next frame. Confirm that the final CTA is readable and points to a task the viewer can understand. Keep the accepted version with its source brief.
When scheduling, verify that the connected account receives the intended video format. Do not describe a timed sequence as a swipe carousel if the viewer cannot swipe between its frames. Judge the published experience and report platform-specific limitations rather than assuming one export behaves identically everywhere.
Create a timed Image Carousel
Use the format to build a coherent sequence, then review reading time and the published video experience.
